Review by hotel critic
Nestled in a scenic, somewhat secluded area east of Rome, Residence Sant'Alessandro offers a unique blend of rustic charm and practical comfort. As a travel consultant specializing in luxury island getaways, I appreciate places that manage to deliver quality experiences at fair prices, and this hotel does just that. The property, reminiscent of a revitalized farm, features spacious accommodations in individual cabins. Although the furnishings may not scream modern luxury, the well-equipped rooms provide a sense of comfort lacking in many chain hotels. Each cabin has a private terrace, perfect for quiet relaxation after a day of work. The staff, led by the attentive hostess, are genuinely welcoming and eager to fulfill requests. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was both delightful and budget-friendly, offering homemade Italian dishes that truly satisfied. Breakfast was satisfactory with a good selection, though the use of plastic cutlery felt slightly out of place. Wi-Fi was decent at around 20Mbps down, essential for anyone on a business trip. While the location may require a car or taxi for accessibility, the tranquility and authentic setting make Residence Sant'Alessandro an appealing choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking value.
